You spend hours carefully writing your resume, you sweat the words you use, you write each line as carefully as you can. So how much time will a recruiter look at it? I know it's the not the answer you want but the fact is, it depends.
If the resume is not clear and poorly written, you will get a few seconds.
If the formatting is good, the sections are clear, and it is well written they will take their time with it. At that point you may get a few minutes which is better than the widely published 15 seconds. Bottom line is you should take your time and write a well thought out resume, it will pay off.
