What font size is best?

While it may be tempting to increase font size for emphasis and to fill the page or to decrease the font size to get more on the page, section headers typically should be 14 to 16-point font for emphasis while body text can be 10 to 12-point font without straining the reader’s eyes. If a resume is scanned from a paper copy, the font should be at least 10-point for the scanner to reliably read the printed characters.
